Neville Goddard’s – Techniques, Books, Quotes & Much More!

Who is Neville Goddard?

As a mystic and metaphysician, he was the author of numerous books and talks, among other accomplishments.

In the words of Joseph Murphy, a writer, and lecturer who studied with Neville in New York City, “Neville may come to be recognized as one of the greatest mystics in the world.”

Joseph Nathaniel Goddard, a highly wealthy businessman, and Wilhelmina Nee Hinkinson had a son named Joseph Nathaniel Goddard.

Neville was born on February 19, 1905, in Barbados, in the British West Indies, to a family of nine boys and one girl.

He was the fourth child of a family of 10.

At the age of seventeen, he embarked on a voyage to the United States aboard the SS Vasari to pursue a career in theatre.

He went on to become a dancer, and it was at this period that he met and married his first wife, with whom he had a son called Joseph Neville Goddard.

His interest in metaphysics began while on tour with his dance company in England, thanks to a Scottish gentleman, who loaned him a series of books on the powers of thought.

After reading these books, he made the significant decision that, upon his return to New York, he would leave the entertainment industry entirely and devote all of his time to the study of spiritual and mystical subjects.

What do we know about Abdullah?

Very little.

Neville writes: “He was black as an ace of spades, my old friend with his turban-wrapped head”.

Maybe he looked like this gentleman at that point? It was selected at random from the Internet, and it is shown here.

Abdullah was an Ethiopian rabbi who taught on esoteric Christianity in New York, according to little is known about him.

According to Neville’s lectures, he had unfettered access to all theatrical events in the United States, and he frequently visited physicians, scientists, and bankers, even at a time of racial prejudice in the country at the time.

And, clearly, he was the guest of honor on every occasion.

In all likelihood, Abdullah was the guardian and transmitter of ancient wisdom that had been passed down through the ages exclusively orally amongst initiates.

Only a small number of people had access to this hidden information, and their professors did not begin to open up their classrooms to others until the early nineteenth century.

Further confirmation of this is the fact that Kabbalah (esoteric Judaism), Sufism (esoteric Islam), and Gnosis (esoteric Christianity) all made their way to Europe and North America around the same time period.

Aside from the testimonies of his students, Murphy and Goddard, we don’t know much about Abdullah’s personal life.

Abdullah educated his students on the actual meaning of biblical statements.

In doing so, he revealed that the Bible, Koran, and other sacred texts should be interpreted as psychological dramas, and he lifted the curtain on millions of misunderstandings and misconceptions. It has nothing to do with historical occurrences.

Abdullah preached that “God” is not a supernatural being “outside” of man, but rather a part of him.

Neville Goddard’s The Game of Life

According to Neville Goddard’s lecture from 1969, the game of life is based on the fact that, like all games, life has rules that we must follow in order to live a full life; otherwise, life can be very difficult, and worst of all, we will live it in complete ignorance without even realizing it, as he put it.

This is an exercise in expressing our desires that are based on Neville’s talk about the game of life.

The Game of Life

First and foremost, we must recognize that this is not a game that is played for a short period of time; rather, it is a game that must be played throughout the day, while we are awake.

The specifics of what we want to be or have, or where we want to be and under what conditions, must be well defined.

Playing is the next and most essential step because you already have what you want, you already have it, or you already have the person you want to be, and it is the most significant step of all.

This means that you believe it, and in order to do so, you must act, talk, and engage in all things from the condition in which they are already completed or completed.

To do this, you must desire it above everything else in the world, and you must have a burning desire in your heart to be or possess it.

As a result, you will have the strength to remain faithful while in this situation.

Then there’s the matter of perseverance; you have to be a bit insane in order to succeed.

In the event that you continue to believe in your assumed state, your mind will eventually come to believe it as well, initially with some skepticism, then with absolute certainty, and this will lead to your mind believing it, and the universe will move in accordance with your belief to the fullest extent possible.

You don’t have to be concerned about how it will transpire since, according to Neville, the creative act is psychological in nature.

You must maintain a positive state of mind that is connected to the state of your desire, and this will attract people who are related to your state and your desire, as well as items that are relevant and required for you.

According to Neville, the individuals who win the game of life are those who are conscious of the fact that their inner condition is connected to the environment in which they live.

If, in order for your wish to be fulfilled, some or some people must take action, even if it appears that they will never take action, if you continue to live your life as if you already have it, you will not need to do anything else to persuade those people to assist you without your having to ask them.

Do not alter your desire from time to time; you must be certain of your desire, desire it with all of your beings, and refuse to change your desire until it is achieved, if possible.

Then you may start over with a new desire and play some more.

Even if you play the game of life successfully for a while, you will soon fall into negativity and stop doing it, and one of the laws of the game of life is, without a doubt, to play it for as long as you have it.

If you are a person who thinks negatively frequently, you will also fail.

Even if mental states are the root cause of life, you may examine your thoughts and attitudes at any given instant and forecast the future without worrying about being incorrect.

Now, in the words of Neville, “cast your bread upon the water and you will find it after many days.”

The Ladder Technique – Developed by Neville Goddard.

Neville was a person from whom you would undoubtedly learn and be pleasantly surprised.

This wonderful visualization and manifestation technique, which has been discussed extensively for many years, has delighted a large number of people since it is the way in which they may do anything (according to Neville).

What exactly is the Neville Technique, often known as the Ladder Technique?

In order to achieve our technique, we simply need to imagine our desire for it, as I describe in more detail below…

Neville begins with the premise that God is our human imagination and that, as a result, we have the ability to create anything in our reality using our imagination.

Our imagination must be used until the creation of reality becomes a reality.

Yes, the dualities of imagination and emotion must be combined; you must feel your wants are already realized not only while you are visualizing but throughout the remainder of the day.

Although the technique itself is simple and straightforward to perform, it all begins with a mental image in your mind.

Below is a video featuring a student of Neville’s who explains the process that he employs, but first… tell me the precise steps you must follow in order to correctly perform the ladder method and, as a technique, bring about changes in your world, according to Neville Goddard.

The Neville ladder technique is broken down into many steps.

Even if you are still doubtful, the manifestation exercise that follows is a wonderful place to start since it is simple to complete and will give you the confidence to materialize greater things in your life after you have completed it.

In this example, the goal of the “desire” will be to climb a ladder.

Clearly, if ascending stairs is a common occurrence in your life, you will need to pick a more straightforward goal to materialize… let’s go.

There are four steps to follow in order to do the ladder technique correctly and effectively:

Step number 1 – Repetition

Throughout the day, you should convince yourself, “I’m not going up any stairs,” as much as you possibly can.

As a result, your brain does not grasp the no, and because your brain works with images, telling you no does not prevent you from picturing the staircase.

This is a brief but easy explanation, and repeating it will help you to focus on your goal and your desires

Step number 2 – Feeling

Besides your creativity, the most crucial element in the Neville technique is your sense of well-being.

You will not achieve anything until you experience it in every aspect; you must feel it in your hands, on your feet, on your face, and in your heart, just as you would feel it in reality; you must feel it in every detail.

Step number 3 – Visualization

When you go to sleep, imagine yourself climbing a ladder and repeating the process over and over until you fall asleep with the image in your mind.

I’d just gotten out of bed and wanted to perform the identical process and envision it once again.

Step number 4 – Meditation

Take time during the day to meditate or imagine yourself ascending a ladder at least twice.

You may pick one of the many free guided meditations in English that are available online to help you with this task.

There’s nothing else to say.

Don’t make things more complicated for yourself and keep looking for a way back to this.

Simply said, practice makes perfect.

Does Neville Goddard’s Technique Work?

I could tell you that it works, or I could tell you that it doesn’t work at all. The truth is that it doesn’t matter, because you can either trust me or not believe me, depending on your perspective.

Without a doubt, the way to bring your goals to fruition is within your grasp; try it out and see for yourself.

The techniques for bringing about positive improvements in your globe that are discussed in the right prayer are more than intriguing to contemplate.

The essence of the Nevillian approach is to induce in your mind a state of consciousness in which you believe that you already possess what you desire.

You must believe that you are in actual possession of your desire while disregarding everything that your senses are telling you.

I admit that it seems a little odd at first and that if you share these ideas with people who have not read Neville, they will most likely label you as insane or crazy, hehe. But bear with me as I explain.

Neville instructs us that we must act in the desired state as if it were already a reality until our wishes are granted.

The Essentials of Proper Prayer

1. Assume Prior to Sleep

Neville makes the point over and over that when we go to sleep, we do so with the expectation that our wish will be fulfilled, and that we will do so with the least effort and without ego.

According to Ester Hicks (Abraham), who is well-known for her speeches and publications, having your wish in mind as you go to sleep will allow you to carry it for 8 hours, during which time your conscious will not deny your desire, allowing you to manifest your desires.

When we dream, we are immersed in a complete sensory world, similar to our perception of the waking state.

That is the most effective way to have our request come true and to “live” it in a dream state.

2. Meditation

To attract our wishes to our physical world, Neville believes that the experience of meditation is extremely important.

This article discusses how to achieve a form of “awake controlled dream” in which we maintain the sensation of having our desire granted, allowing you to benefit from The Best Guided Meditation Ever for Abundance.

Neville Goddard Quotes

“You are already that which you want to be, and your refusal to believe this is the only reason you do not see it.”

“Do not waste one moment in regret, for to think feelingly of the mistakes of the past is to re-infect yourself.”

“Everything depends upon our attitude towards ourselves. That which we will not affirm as true of ourselves cannot develop in our life.”

“Do not try to change people; they are only messengers telling you who you are. Revalue yourself and they will confirm the change.”

“The world is a mirror, forever reflecting what you are doing, within yourself.”

“It is not what you want that you attract, you attract what you believe to be true.”

“Nothing comes from without. All things come from within.”

“Believe that you are what you want to be.”

“If you judge after appearances, you will continue to be enslaved by the evidence of your senses.”

“Our inner conversations represent in various ways the world we live in.”
